The Traboulay 25 is a completely unofficial, deeply casual 25-kilometer loop around the Traboulay PoCo Trail in Port Coquitlam. There are no aid stations. There is no podium. There is absolutely no prize money.
What there is: a flat, scenic trail, good company, and an iron-clad commitment to post-run tacos at Cachito Mio and cold beer at Tinhouse Brewing. That's the deal. You run the loop, you earn the feast.
The Traboulay PoCo Trail is a multi-use pathway that loops around Port Coquitlam along the Pitt and Coquitlam Rivers. It's paved and gravel, flat enough to qualify as a geological anomaly, and long enough to make you question your life choices somewhere around kilometer 18.
Start / Finish: Dominion Park parking lot, Port Coquitlam — a stone's throw from Cachito Mio and Tinhouse Brewing. Park, run the loop, walk straight into tacos. No logistics required.
You run 25K. You get tacos and beer. That's it. That's the whole thing. Show up, put in the kilometers, and you've earned your seat at the table. No DNF possible at the taco stage.
Fitness level: You should be comfortable running 20+ km. This isn't a couch-to-25K situation.
Bring: Hydration and nutrition for 2+ hours, good shoes, a halfway decent attitude.
Pace: Whatever gets you to the tacos. Seriously. There's no cutoff time and no shame in walking the last 5K.
Weather: It's early April in the Lower Mainland. Expect anything. Dress in layers you can stash. If it's pouring rain, we run anyway.
